Program description
|
The objective of this workshop is to teach people how to box, but also to provide an area for stress relief, where children can use all their energy and understand that learning requires effort and technique- though it seems like a simple game. Boxing improves coordination and self-esteem.
The children attend community centers because they provide a physical space that they do not have at home. Many children also spend time alone because their parents work. Through this workshop they are able to not only have fun in the boxing studio, but also have academic support spaces and get something to eat.

Volunteers tasks

Volunteers work with the boxing instructor in the organization of the working groups divided by age.
The workshop is developed by rotating group activities. According to the teacher's instructions, volunteers prepare activities with younger children (such as running, jumping rope and other activities.)
Volunteers also assist with registration, reception before class and preparing and serving snack. Bring Comfortable Clothes!
